Total Resource Campaign of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of
Commerce, closed its Championship Lunch on Thursday with
Commissioner Bob Birch's (Twin City Bank Homerun Hitters)
announcement that $569,771.50 had been raised during the six-
week season. The tally bested the 2006 campaign's $441,442 by
$128,329.50, a 29% increase. While the competition has ended,
players still have until the close of business on Thursday, May
31st to turn in outstanding agreements and applications, so the
total could go even higher.
With $78,850, Leadership Greater Little Rock - A League of Their
Own repeated as team champions behind Elizabeth Small's (PDC
Companies) $67,565. Matt Lyles (Coulson Oil Company All-Stars)
also repeated as MVP by garnering $76,750 in sales, only $2,100
behind the winning team. The names of the winning team and
MVP will be inscribed on the Challenge Cup trophy case, which
is displayed in the Chamber's Deltic Timber Atrium.
The Championship Lunch was presented by Elizabeth Smal
l (Leadership Greater Little Rock - A League of Their Own, PDC
Companies). The 62 players in attendance competed in a
drawing for six, behind-the-plate, Travelers tickets for that
evening donated by Blake James (Stephens Inc.).
