Membership Investment (Starting at $350)

The Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce is the principal business-driven leadership organization responsible for fostering the economic growth and development of the Little Rock Region to ensure that business and industry may operate profitably and enhance the earning opportunities and quality of life for every citizen.

The Chamber’s three primary functions are: 1) economic development; 2) voice of business; and 3) member business development.

Founded in 1866, the Chamber has provided business leadership in nearly every major area development for the past 144 years. A private organization, funded by business and organization members’ annual investment, the Chamber boasts over 1,700 business/organization members with approximately 150,000 employees throughout Central Arkansas. The Chamber’s state-of-the-art headquarters, which opened in December 2000, is considered the finest facility of its kind in the nation.

Benefits of membership are two-fold: 1) return on financial investment; and 2) return on investment of time.

Return on Financial Investment

·         Think of it as a marketing expense, comparable to an ad buy. By simply investing, members automatically receive the following for a full year, whether they get involved or not:

o    Immediate Marketing

§  Online Business Directory (www.littlerockbusinessguide.com)
Listing on Chamber website membership directory, with member contact information and direct links to member email, website and Google map. In 2008, 220,199 searches were conducted in the directory, with 81,675 online member referrals.

§  Online New Member Listing
For 90 days, additional New Member listing on Chamber’s online membership directory. In 2008, the listing was accessed 14,192 times.

§  New Member Listing in Business E-Newsletter

§  Outdoor Daktronics Screen

§  Little Rock Regional Business Guide & Chamber Membership Directory

§  Office/Retail/Warehouse Lease Guide
Detailed listing and analysis of office, retail and warehouse lease space in the Little Rock region.

§  Greater Little Rock Guest Guide
Everything to see and do in Little Rock region.

§  Little Rock Area Map

o    Commerce

§  Exclusive Member Referrals
Members receive monthly, quarterly and annual reports of all Online Member Referrals. Last year, Chamber members received 81,675 online referrals – and that doesn’t even count each time member information was viewed in our directory. Thousands more were referred by our front desks. Online, on the phone, through the mail, in our publications and in person, ONLY Chamber Members are referred and recommended.

§  Direct Links from Our Website to Yours
Every time a member’s business/organization is included in the Business E-Newsletter and on the Chamber website (directory, volunteer, news, etc.), the business/organization’s website is directly linked.

§  M2M (Member-to-Member) Benefits

Providing a better price/value for goods and services than member representatives could receive from any other source, M2M benefits are available only to active members of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. Unlike other affinity programs promoted by Chambers throughout the country, the Little Rock Regional Chamber chooses not to profit from M2M offerings, but rather, passes all savings directly to the members as an added benefit of membership. All Chamber Member businesses/organizations are eligible and encouraged to provide M2M (Member-to-Member) benefits to fellow members, which helps market Member goods and services to over 1,700 members employing over 150,000 potential customers and clients.

Return on Investment of Time

·         By getting involved, members gain immediate access to the most extensive business development network in Central Arkansas, giving members unlimited opportunities to forge and deepen business relationships.

§  Reduced Member Rates for Most All Chamber Events

*Reservations must be made in advance for all events.

o    World-class Resources

·         Members-Only Use of Chamber Building
Recognized as the finest Chamber headquarters in the nation, this architectural award-winning building and its advanced audio/visual technology is available to members only for meetings and events. Further, if a room is not booked and requires no set-up or clean-up, members may have free use for two or three-person meetings.

·         Professional Staff

The 18-member management team possesses the second highest percentage of Certified Chamber Executives (CCE) of any chamber in the nation. Further, with three graduates of the University of Oklahoma/Economic Development Institute and two set to graduate in 2009, the Chamber will soon have one of the highest percentages of OU/EDI graduates of any Chamber in the nation.

Using a formula developed by Chamber member businesses, adopted by the Board of Directors, and lower than every major metropolitan Chamber in our region, annual membership investment is generally based on two factors: 1) type of business; and 2) number of employees. (See Membership Investment Rates for details.)
